STS Technical Services is hiring a Sr. Global Category Manager in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Sr. Global Category Manager to lead and manage category teams within our global Supply Management division. This role will focus on developing and executing category strategies, managing key supplier partnerships, and driving cost-effective, cross-business procurement solutions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in global sourcing, negotiation, and supplier performance management, along with proven leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership for Supply Management category teams
- Develop and implement global and regional supplier strategies to enable cross-business synergies
- Champion and manage key strategic supplier contracts and commercial performance
- Monitor, evaluate, and report compliance with category agreements based on internal policies
- Present strategic planning tools and cost-saving opportunities to senior leadership
- Prepare and execute annual value propositions for assigned spend categories
- Lead Supplier Business Reviews to assess and improve vendor performance
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuous supply
- Oversee performance and development of category management team members
- Allocate resources, manage priorities, and support business initiatives across departments
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Broad expertise in procurement, supplier quality, negotiation, and product development
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead high-performing teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize goals
- Proven leadership in driving category strategies and delivering cost savings
- Travel up to 15 required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in professional global negotiations
- Experience improving supplier performance across manufacturing facilities
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) experience
- Demonstrated continuous improvement background
- Motorcycle riding experience and knowledge of motorcycles and related accessories
