The QC Manager will oversee quality control operations within the engine MRO facility, with a strong focus on CFM56 engines. This role ensures all work meets FAA, EASA, and OEM requirements while maintaining the highest levels of safety, compliance, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead QC inspectors in the inspection of incoming, in-process, and final engine assemblies, modules, and parts.
- Ensure all work complies with FAA Part 145, EASA, and OEM technical data.
- Develop and maintain inspection systems tailored to turbine engine repair and overhaul (with emphasis on CFM56).
- Oversee adherence to tooling, test cell, and calibration standards.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering to resolve inspection findings and technical issues.
- Prepare for and manage FAA, EASA, and customer audits.
- Review and approve final engine records packages for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Return engines to service (RTS) by issuing airworthiness releases in accordance with FAA/EASA regulations.
- Maintain detailed records, airworthiness releases, and traceability documentation.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for any quality escapes.
- Provide training and mentoring for QC staff on engine inspection procedures.
- Act as primary interface with regulators and customers for quality-related issues.
