Job Description:
A vacancy for A400M Global Support Material Support Warehouse Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space located at Belgium Air Force A400M Main Operating Base in Brussels (Belgium). The successful applicant will join TASMO3 department.
In the frame of Airbus A400M Global Support (PBL contract including Spain, France, BELUX and UK fleets), the candidate will act as the link between the logistic staff and the ordering team, by ensuring and coordinating the deliveries at the point of need, acting as an interface between customers, physical logistics, planning and ordering departments within the local logistics site and the AIRBUS Global Logistics Network central team.
Tasks & accountabilities:
• The jobholder will be responsible for coordinating and managing the Warehouse Operations Team deployed in A400M Belgium Air Force Main Operating Base at Brussels (Belgium) to support A400M Global Support Service contract.
• The jobholder will be responsible for the surveillance of the materials needed to guarantee the fleet and material availability by coordinating the operations at the warehouse and inform both, the customer and the Support Centre.
• The jobholder will work in close collaboration with the MSSRs team, considering this entity as the responsible of relationship with the end customer, and supporting the MSSRs response to direct customers inquiries (when required).
• The jobholder is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the quality of the service provided by the Logistic Local Team, ensuring the logistics operations are compliant with all legal and internal requirements.
• In addition, the jobholder will be responsible for reporting to his/her superior level the weekly/monthly consolidated results of the internal audits performed to control the Logistic Team performance and quality as well as the main KPIs established for the operations.
• Collaboration among GSS sites is mandatory, supporting and proposing best practices for logistic processes and performing exchanges for benchmarking with other GLN (Global Logistic Network) team members.
• The jobholder will contribute to support the inbound, outbound and inventory activities of the logistic team of the WH in Brussels, by acting as an advanced expert in the processes, providing support when required and being a second level actor for incidences resolution.
• To summarize, the jobholder will contribute to achieve the maximum quality and efficiency in the work performed by the logistic team, following Airbus procedures and proposing improvement initiatives when necessary.
Required skills :
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in Logistics/Supply Chain/Customer Services.
• English must be negotiation level. Spanish would be a plus.
• Knowledge in SAP and MS Office.
• Communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability
