What Will You Be Doing?

As a Senior iOS Developer at Frontier Airlines, youll be a key contributor to our Agile mobile development team, helping to shape and evolve the iOS experience for millions of travelers. Youll work closely with product owners, designers, backend engineers, and QA analysts in a fast-paced, iterative environment to deliver high-quality, customer-centric features. Your work will directly impact how our customers plan, manage, and enjoy their travel with Frontier.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Frontiers iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
  • Collaborate daily with cross-functional Agile teams including product, design, QA, and backend engineering.
  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, Firebase services, and Azure infrastructure.
  • Use Fastlane for CI/CD automation and Sauce Labs for automated testing.
  • Leverage FullStory for user behavior analytics and performance insights.
  • Translate UX/UI designs into functional, high-quality code that aligns with platform standards and accessibility best practices.
  • Write and maintain unit and UI tests using XCTest, with a strong testing mindset.
  • Document all work for future reference and write technical specifications when required.
  • Stay current with iOS development trends, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift and UIKit; experience with SwiftUI is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience publishing and maintaining apps in the App Store.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Fastlane and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) and GraphQL APIs.
  • Airline industry experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of iOS frameworks, Apples Human Interface Guidelines, and mobile architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Experience with Git and version control best practices.
  • Knowledge of mobile security and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with tools and platforms including:
    • Xcode and related iOS development tools
    • Azure DevOps for project tracking and CI/CD
    • Fastlane for build automation
    • Firebase Console for analytics and crash reporting
    • Sauce Labs for automated testing
    • FullStory for session replay and user behavior analysis
    • Figma for interpreting and implementing UX/UI designs
    • Sonar for code quality analysis
  • Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and how to apply them in mobile development.
  • Awareness of DOT regulatory requirements as they relate to mobile applications.
  • Passion for delivering intuitive, high-quality user experiences.

  • iPhone and iPad for testing and QA

Work Environment

Hybrid work environment. This position requires the employee to work on-site at Frontiers Denver headquarters a minimum of 2–3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.

Employees must have adequate home office space and reliable internet access to effectively perform their duties and participate in video meetings using various conferencing platforms. Occasional visits to airport locations may also be required for on-site testing and collaboration with operational teams.
