Job Description: Director of Maintenance

Reports To: CEO

Department: Operations

Position Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Hours: Must be able to work days, nights, and weekend on-call shifts

Travel: Occasional

Position Location: Clearwater, FL

 

Mechanic Qualifications:

  1. Must have a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
  2. Be able to work independently, on call, nights, and weekends as this is a 24/7 operation
  3. Must remain able to pass FAA-required drug and alcohol tests.
  4. Must possess and retain a valid Drivers’ License
  5. Ability to lift 50 pounds and have the agility to climb into small spaces in aircraft
  6. Have the means to get and maintain a valid passport
  7. Organization skills required
  8. Must be able to lead maintenance team on daily bases, on inspections and AOG maintenance
  9. Lear 35 experience, 5 years required
  10. Avionics experience, preferred
  11. Ten (ten) years of experience, required
Job Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Must be readily available day or night as the need arises for the company's demanding schedule.
  2. Organize and lead inspections and AOG maintenance, multi-tasking, required.
  3. Must be able to communicate with FAA and management team.
  4. Ability to travel domestically and internationally if the need arises.
  5. Must pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
  6. Must possess own toolbox with general mechanic tools.
  7. Must clearly document maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, logs, parts requests, etc. clearly on paper or in an electronic system
  8. Must be able to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc.
  9. Must be self-motivated and able to manage time as required to effectively achieve specified maintenance response goals.
  10. Must be able to effectively communicate the status of aircraft to the team as required.

Supervision

  1. Reports to the CEO

Performance Evaluation

  1. CEO will evaluate on an annual basis.
