Instructor Pilot UH-1H Huey II Provide pilot familiarization training in the UH-1H Huey II aircraft, normal and emergency procedures, external cargo load operations, formation flight, night vision goggle (NVG) and instrument flight rules. Train students to the approved Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) day/night standards. In addition to flight training, the IP will conduct oral and academic instruction on flight planning, flight maneuvers, navigation procedures and fuel/power management. Develop and execute schedules, policies and syllabi required for flight and ground training. Adhere to all applicable FAA regulations and local operating instructions.
Job Requirements:


Responsibilities
•Performs flight readiness inspections, completes maintenance forms and aircraft log books.
•Must have past or current designation as a Pilot/Aircraft Commander in the applicable aircraft and have 1,500 hours (to include 500 hours as Maintenance Test Pilot) of experience in performing duties for Operational, Ferry, and Support flights.
•Must possess a military medical or FAA Class II clearance and be able to meet applicable physical and physiological minimum requirements for the applicable aircraft.

Experience and Abilities
•Must be previously qualified as a UH-1H Huey Instructor Pilot
•Minimum 2,500 hours total time
•Minimum 1,000 hours IP time
•FAA CFI/CFII
•Current FAA Class II Medical
•UH-1H Huey II flight experience highly desired
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and regulations
•Certified in aircraft of record

Education Requirements
•BA/BS preferred
•Graduate of a U.S. Military Instructor Pilot Qualification Course.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
•CONUS, must be domiciled in Fort Rucker, AL local area
