Landing systems LGMRO is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic CORE Specialist to join the Collins MRO site. Combine your technical skills, Global Mindset, and your ability to collaborate and build partnerships to make the world a safer place. The position is based in Opa-Locka - FL
Ensure the CORE Operating System is effectively implemented to deliver results by improving business metrics and delivering to customer expectations. The CORE Lead is committed to all areas of Continuous Improvement and understands the link with these items with company profitability. They utilize lean manufacturing skills to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value. They will ensure that CORE systems and processes are in place, best practices are implemented, CORE culture is robust, and accountabilities are established to improve overall operational effectiveness. The CORE Lead is engaged in CORE projects with focus on initial manufacturing set up and support of production at Partner sites, as well as maturation of the CORE framework within LGMRO. They will work alongside functional leaders and IPT teams to optimize both manufacturing and business processes and develop talent within the operating system.
Position is 100 Onsite at Miami Facility

What You Will Do:
Utilize LEAN & CORE methods & tools to drive a continuous improvement culture in support of international manufacturing operations, including to streamline manufacturing flow, improve cost-competitiveness, and improve cycle time, quality, and delivery.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to realize tangible ROI through driving improvement projects across the partners. This role is expected to identify optimization opportunities, develop CORE implementation strategy, lead engagements/projects, gain buy in from the partners and internal teams, execute the projects, and measure the benefits.
Be an agent of change, promoting a culture of continuous improvement through influence and collaboration, establishing work plans and following up until their closure.
Manage multiple CORE engagements & projects across Partners/Suppliers, present progress in front of management, exercise excellent communication/collaboration with internal and external organizations, and cultivate a problem-solving mindset (out of the box).
Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in transformation projects, in both production and business processes.
Ability to influence external Partners/Suppliers. Promote a sense of urgency.
Qualifications We Require:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years experience in manufacturing environment or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
CORE Expert Certified and/or equivalent Six Sigma Certified
Experience with continuous improvement frameworks and LEAN manufacturing systems and processes
Experience in manufacturing production line set-up
Proven track record of realizing tangible cost savings through lean projects
Experience with cross functional teams with representatives from Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, IPT Leadership, Program Management teams

Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles (Lean cell design and line balancing, 6S, VSM, Kanban, Takt Time, Optimal product work-flow)
Ability to support LGMRO in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activity
Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
