We are seeking experienced Avionics Technicians to support the Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) program—an advanced aircraft conversion effort transforming Boeing 747-8i platforms into secure, EMP-hardened airborne command centers for the U.S. Air Force. This role involves the installation, modification, and troubleshooting of complex avionics systems on wide-body aircraft, contributing directly to one of the most mission-critical aviation programs in modern U.S. defense history.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, route, and terminate avionics wiring harnesses and connectors to support military-grade communications, navigation, and control systems.
- Integrate mission-critical systems, including NC3 components, SATCOM, radar, and aircraft survivability technology.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Perform troubleshooting, continuity checks, and functional testing on newly installed and modified avionics systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with FOD prevention, safety standards, and program-specific quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with structural, systems, and test teams to ensure all systems are accurately installed and verified.
