Job Description

Join a dynamic team where you will perform tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Seeking candidates with 6 months+ of electronics assembly or cables experience, ideal candidates have military experience. You will work with modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables, making continuity checks and conducting quality inspections. You may also be involved in disassembling, modifying, reworking, reassembling, and testing experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Work from diagrams and drawings to make initial layouts using hand and power tools.
  • Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
  • Perform quality inspections on processing lines in accordance with quality specifications.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Essential Skills
  • Blueprint reading and assembly production experience.
  • Soldering skills and IPC-610 and IPC-620 certifications.
  • Experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of crimping, wire harness, and cable assembly.
  • Proficiency in circuit board assembly and wire termination.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • IPC J-STD-001 certification.
  • IPC-A-600 certification for printed boards.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 requirements and acceptance for cable and wire harness assemblies.
  • IPC-7711/IPC-7721 certification for rework of electronic assemblies.
  • One-year experience in soldering and cable assembly.
  • Good manual dexterity and mechanical build experience.
  • Ability to interpret written work instructions, drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) environments.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and cable termination, including crimping specifications.

Work Environment

The work environment is a huge, climate-controlled manufacturing facility in Oldsmar. Employees have their own well-spaced workstations, ensuring safety and comfort. The facility operates on two shifts: 1st shift from 5am to 3:30pm, and 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 2am, both Monday to Thursday with Fridays scheduled off.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OLDSMAR, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $30.00/hr.
