Summary:
Design and document electrical systems, components, and interfaces
Support hardware/software integration and testing
Perform system schematic analysis and requirements development
Develop wiring for test articles and sub-assemblies
Select electrical hardware (cables, connectors, shielding, etc.)
Support lab/flight test instrumentation and data acquisition
Analyze test requirements, develop procedures, and verify systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fielded hardware/software
Utilize MBSE tools (DOORS, Cameo, modeling/simulation) for system definition, architecture, and trade studies
Requirements:
Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance Required
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Data Science
3+ years experience in electrical avionics system design, including subsystems, interface cable design, hardware/software integration, vendor coordination, and lab testing
Familiarity with VPX/VME form factor
Knowledge of RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553 communication standards/protocols
Domain knowledge of air vehicle and/or weapons systems
Experience with product/systems development and integration
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
