Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is growing in the area of aircraft, missile, weapons and autonomous system Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) system design, development, integration, and test. BDS seeks an Electrical Engineer Lead to serve as Senior Test & Evaluation Engineer on our team in Heath (Columbus), OH.
You will join the InterContinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Minuteman III Guidance Subsystem Support Contract (GuSSC) Sustainment Engineering program and have ownership of sustainment efforts supported by the local Heath, OH team. You will be responsible for Program Work Structure (PWS), project and task execution, risk management, and interfacing with internal and external customers. You will also provide technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Analytical Skills (Technical). Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
- Design Concepts & Techniques. Use your advanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques such as concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly DFM/A.
- Engineering Processes. Use your knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments or disciplines such as design, test, software, technology, avionics. Use your knowledge of the interaction between departments and disciplines and how their products or processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes such as Operations, Logistics, Business.
- Engr Knowledge/Comprehension. Use your knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering disciplines and communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.
- Systems Thinking. Use your ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. Leverage your ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience working with USAF or other DoD agencies.
- Experience with creation, change, and baseline control of complex aerospace electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience with analog design and digital design, manufacturing, and sustainment.
- Experience engineering for obsolescence and sustainment.
- Experience with test equipment design, overhaul, and sustainment.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics, LTSpice, PSpice, MATLAB, Simulink, circuit simulators, …
- Project management experience.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 4: $126,650 to $171,350
