Job Description:

In your role, you will

  • Adheres to General Work Requirements
  • Performs managerial responsibilities, for example, hire/fire, disciplinary actions, PMP, training, and work assignments
  • Formulates and recommends manufacturing processes and procedures, layout, and material handling methods
  • Develops, implements, and tracks production planning, scheduling, and control methods
  • Directs development and application of time standards 
  • Provides timely, accurate reports of manufacturing status, performance to budget, and performance to schedule and quality
  • Prepares budgets, makes recommendations, and justifies major capital expenditures necessary for increased efficiency of the manufacturing operations
  • Conducts studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and new equipment
  • Directs cost control programs and manages adherence to standards of performance for manpower and equipment
  • Participates in annual budget preparation and maintains budget status during fiscal year
Job Requirements:
  • Typically 6+ years of supervisory experience in Methods Engineering
  • Typically 7+ years of experience in Methods Engineering
  • Thorough knowledge regarding process improvement/re-engineering methodology and application (e.g., Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing Principles)
  • Thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, specifications, standards, and manuals
  • Thorough knowledge of production scheduling and quality guidelines
  • Thorough knowledge of operational processes, systems, tools, and workflow for assigned area
  • Thorough knowledge of point-of-contacts for support functions of the assigned areas, including but not limited to, Human Resources, Payroll, Purchasing, Facilities, and Travel
  • Thorough knowledge of employment rules and regulations as they apply to employee hiring, discipline, performance appraisal, personal information, and termination
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles necessary to read and interpret profit/loss statements and meet financial objectives for assigned areas and programs
