Responsibilities
The Senior Systems Engineer position is responsible for the planning, implementation, administration and disaster recovery procedures for mission critical systems. Serves as a technical engineer, in the area of Virtual infrastructure, specifically Microsoft Azure servers and storage, on premise VMWare and storage systems. Investigates, analyzes feasibility and makes recommendations for system requirements, system specifications and system backup and recovery.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all, server resources, storage resources, systems and key processes; reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as data backups/restores.
- Monitor and respond within the prescribed Service Level Agreement (SLA) for all calls received and assigned through the IT Operations Center ticketing system.
- Perform administrations tasks that include: (1) Creating and maintaining Active Directory, User accounts for the directory and various applications; (2) File data and security; (3) Email administration; (4) Repair and recovery from hardware and/or software failures; (5) Back Up and restoration software (6) PowerShell scripting.
- Apply patches and upgrades as scheduled and assure administrative tools and utilities are maintained in a current state of technology or version.
- Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Maintain on premise and MS Azure data center environment and monitoring equipment.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including but not limited to servers, Virtual clients, operating systems, hardware, software and applications.
- Plan and direct major infrastructure systems projects of significant importance to the organization, or major components of these complex systems which typically impact critical operations and large or multiple user groups.
- Evaluate resource requirements and make recommendations for host system integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelors dedgree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years experience in Systems Engineering/ Automation
- VMware Certified is preferred
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate and Virtual Desktop specialty certifications are preferred

- Capable of troubleshooting application and system issues.
- High level of proficiency in the administration of Active Directory and Office365
- Domestic travel under 10 of time
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
- This is a 100 onsite role in Dania Beach, FL.
