Job Description

As an Interior Technician, you will perform rework, repairs, and installations/modifications on Boeing 787 aircraft. You will work on various aircraft parts, including wings, cockpit, interiors, and primary structures. Your tasks will involve removing and reinstalling fasteners, repairing composite panels, and conducting modifications.

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and follow engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Communicate status updates to multiple customers both orally and in writing in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support a wide range of customer interior components such as galleys, lavatories, seating, liners, partition walls, and other furnishings.
  • Carry out mechanical rework of non-conformities including installation and adjustment, part replacement, calibration, and modification.
  • Perform cosmetic rework of interior cabin components by cleaning, sanding, painting, and sealing.
  • Conduct electrical rework such as bond and ground, resistance measurements, harness installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform advanced techniques like drilling, thread cutting, screw extraction, and use of measuring tools.
  • Verify and order parts and standards needed to complete rework as required.
  • Ensure maintenance of a FOD-free work environment, including ongoing control of materials, tools, and general housekeeping.
  • Document all work performed in an internal database daily.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on aircraft interiors, preferably with Boeing 787 aircraft.
  • Proficiency in decorative finishes and cosmetic rework.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering documents.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
  • Proficient in using basic hand tools, specialized upholstery tools, and measurement and inspection tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 4+ years of interiors experience in MRO/Heavy Maintenance/Depot level environments.
  • Familiarity with Boeing Aircrafts and B787 experience.
  • Experience with complex hydraulic systems, passenger entry doors, and cargo door systems.
  • Direct experience with Boeing 787 program processes and systems including Velocity/MES/SAP/Catia and REDARS.
  • Understanding of airbrushing/painting cosmetic interior paint touch-ups.
  • Ability to use and understand CMMs/AMMs.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
