About the Company
The Mahoning County Career & Technical Center (MCCTC) is a public career and technical high school located in Canfield, Ohio, serving students from across Mahoning County. MCCTC provides industry-aligned education and workforce training in skilled trades, engineering, healthcare, aviation, advanced manufacturing, and emerging technologies.
MCCTC operates a FAA-certified FAR 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician School, offering a two-year Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) pathway for high school juniors and seniors, with post-secondary completion options. The district is known for being proactive, forward-thinking, and industry-focused, providing modern facilities, strong administrative support, and instructor autonomy to develop high-quality, hands-on programs that prepare students for real careers.
Supported Manufacturers
As an educational institution, MCCTC does not represent or endorse specific manufacturers. Instruction emphasizes industry-standard systems, components, tools, and maintenance practices applicable across the general aviation and commercial aviation sectors.
Training is designed to prepare students for employment with a wide range of manufacturers, MROs, airlines, and aviation employers.
MCCTC’s Aviation Maintenance program focuses on broad-based Airframe and Powerplant training rather than specific aircraft models. Students receive instruction on general aviation aircraft, powerplants, and systems commonly encountered in the aviation maintenance industry, ensuring transferable skills applicable to multiple aircraft types and employers.
