Helicopter A&P Mechanic Job DescriptionShift and Pay:

7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday

$25-45 depending on experience

Position Summary

The Helicopter Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of rotary-wing aircraft to ensure they meet FAA regulations and company safety standards. This role supports safe, efficient flight operations through high-quality mechanical work and thorough documentation.

Some travel required

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on helicopter airframes and powerplants
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems
• Conduct pre-flight, post-flight, and phase inspections
• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate corrective actions
• Remove, repair, replace, and reinstall aircraft components as required
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete maintenance records, logbooks, and work orders
• Perform functional tests and ground runs to verify system performance
• Assist with major repairs, inspections, and overhauls
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Coordinate with pilots, maintenance control, and other team members to ensure aircraft readiness

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
• 2+ years of helicopter maintenance experience (or relevant military experience)
• Strong knowledge of turbine and/or piston helicopter systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking systems

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $93000.00/yr.
