As an Aircraft Avionics Technician, you will apply your expertise in avionics, focusing on cable lay-ins, terminations, crimping, pinning, and soldering. Your role involves assembling, modifying, and installing wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components. You will document work performed, control equipment status tags, log critical information during installations, and verify parts requests. The position requires reading and interpreting schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions, while using a variety of manual hand tools and specialized aircraft test equipment. Effective communication with colleagues and supervisors is essential, and you must perform duties across all shifts, adhering to safety equipment requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components.
  • Clearly document work performed and control equipment status tags.
  • Log critical information during installation and verify parts requests.
  • Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions.
  • Use manual hand tools like crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink gun, and complex, specialized aircraft test equipment.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with other employees and supervision.
  • Perform duties across all shifts without encumbrances due to weather, physical location, and conditions, while wearing required safety equipment.
Essential Skills
  • Avionics experience with cable lay-ins, terminations, crimping, pinning, and soldering.
  • Troubleshooting and functional testing of avionics systems.
  • Experience with aircraft avionics, avionics systems, wiring, and wire harness.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • 4+ years of electrical/avionic aviation production experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of rotary or fixed wing aircrafts.
  • General knowledge of aviation electrical/avionic components and systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Military experience is considered.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
