The Aircraft Conformity Specialist will work directly with the VP of Maintenance to conform new aircraft to the Jet Access Aviation Part 135 Certificate. The Aircraft Conformity Specialist will be ultimately responsible for evaluating, researching, maintaining records, and performing duties required to ensure conformity of new aircraft.
Day in the Life:
- Review return to service documentation for accuracy, conformity to applicable federal regulations, and arrange for corrections as necessary before filing in the aircrafts permanent records.
- Arrange for the issuance of MEL, RVSM manuals and any required op specs as assigned.
- Arrange for the issuance of FCC radio license.
- Travel to the aircraft and perform aircraft physical inspection in accordance with the conformity inspection checklist, log any discrepancies, and arrange for their correction.
- Records conformity research in accordance with established procedures.
- Assemble conformity data for FAA and records review in accordance with established procedures.
- Interface with FAA inspectors as assigned.
- Work directly with VP of Maintenance and keep him informed of any issues or roadblocks in the conformity process. Including regular status updates on the conformity process.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Core Schedule:
- Days Monday thru Friday.
- Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Some on-call or evening/weekend hours may be required.
- Associate degree in aviation maintenance or equivalent related technical training in a related field.
- Must be a motivated self-starter, able to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision at the office or while traveling.
- Must understand industry technical language with the ability to communicate professionally with the team.
- Able to follow complex verbal and written directions.
- Must have some knowledge of web-based maintenance documentation requirements.

- Must have a basic understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation requirements, including logbook entries, part certification, and appropriate sign-off language.
- Must have some experience with office software products, including Adobe Pro, Word, and Excel.
- Prior knowledge of and experience with part 135 air carrier aircraft conformity and regulatory compliance, including:
- Evaluation and correction of return to service documentation.
- Airworthiness Directive and Alert Bulletin management and sign-off requirements.
- Major repair and alteration documentation and listing.
- Knowledge of aircraft equipment and airworthiness requirements.
- RVSM capability and compliance, as well as verification and height monitoring.
- Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) Certificate required.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance or airframe sheet metal maintenance, preferably in a QC, Conformity, or AMM role.
- Valid state drivers license.
- Requires use of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications, plus knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles.
- Flexible working schedules is a must.
- Some travel may be required, up to 25.
- Must successfully pass background check and drug test.
- Ability to read and respond to email communications.
