As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will perform heavy maintenance tasks such as C & D checks and calendar checks on ATR-72, ATR-42, and Cessna Caravan aircraft. Typical duties include working on flight controls, tearing out and reinstalling interior components, performing corrosion control, removing and replacing landing gear, conducting minor electrical work, and executing minor structural repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy maintenance tasks including C & D checks and calendar checks.
• Work on flight controls, interior components, and corrosion control.
• Remove and replace landing gear and engines.
• Conduct minor electrical and structural repairs.

• A&P license or FAA Airframe License is highly preferred.
• Experience in aircraft maintenance and heavy maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of ATR-72, ATR-42, and line maintenance.

• Entry-level A&P Mechanics must have a license.
• Military aviation experience is beneficial.
• Any aviation maintenance experience is applicable with A&P License.
• Candidates must possess their own tools.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a large hangar at the Kinston Regional Jetport, capable of holding up to four ATR aircraft. The team of 33 mechanics typically works on two to three aircraft at a time. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with additional hours as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
