Job Title: Aircraft Structures Technician
Job Description / About the Job
Join a dynamic team as an Aircraft Structures Technician, where youll perform a range of tasks involving the layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of aircraft structures, parts, and mechanical assemblies for Corporate Jet and Government Aircraft such as Bombardier Challenger, Learjet, Embraer Legacy and Gulfstream models. Pay Rate is $40.00 - $50.00 an hour based on expereince.
Responsibilities
- Layout, fabricate, assemble, mate, install, check, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft structures, parts, and mechanical assemblies.
- Read and interpret mechanical/structural blueprints, planning documents, process specifications, diagrams, engineering drawings, and sketches.
- Determine methods and sequence of operations to layout, assemble, and install precision parts and assemblies.
- Layout coordinated hole patterns, cutouts, trim lines, mating points, assembly, and installation locations using precision measuring instruments and equipment.
- Assemble and mate aircraft parts and assemblies using riveting and hand and power tools.
- Modify or rebuild parts to accommodate mold line or configuration changes.
- Modify aircraft structure, installation, and mechanical systems in accordance with engineering requirements.
- Incorporate major engineering changes and modifications.
- Maintain a clean and neat work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- 4+ years of experience in Structures Installs/Mods.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, airframe / structural repairs, riveting, drilling, etc.
- Experience with composite materials, aircraft modification, and sheet metal fabrication.

Work Environment
Work on the 1st shift from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in a well-lit, temperature-controlled facility. The team consists of approximately 15 technicians and management in the hangar, with four people in the Avionics Department. Travel between Columbus and Elkhart, Indiana, is required, with 70 of time spent in Columbus. The work environment includes aircraft such as Gulfstream II, III, IV, V, Bombardier, and LearJet 30, 40, or 60 series, and Challenger 601, 604, 605.
