PDS Tech Commercial is seeking Flight Readiness Technicians to support a major aerospace program at a world-class Delivery Center in North Charleston, SC. In this critical role, you will ensure aircraft are fully prepared, tested, and verified before delivery. Your work directly impacts safety, reliability, and performance—making you a vital contributor to advanced commercial aviation.
What You’ll DoAs a Flight Readiness Technician, you will support final aircraft operations, readiness, and validation, including:
Performing flight test installations and system-level functional testing.
Assisting in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems to isolate and resolve mechanical or electrical faults.
Conducting pre-flight and post-flight checks, maintenance tasks, and modification work.
Supporting system and subsystem pre-delivery inspections.
Verifying accuracy of completed work and performing self-inspections as needed.
Resolving issues identified during testing and operational checks.
Planning, scheduling, and organizing your work with limited supervision.
Contributing to a safe, high-quality production environment while reinforcing strong workplace behaviors.
This position requires 100 onsite work at the Charleston, SC facility.
What You’ll BringRequired Qualifications:
Ability to work any shift, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
6+ months of avionics and/or electrical experience.
6+ months of experience working with live aircraft systems and flight operations.
Knowledge of FOD (Foreign Object Debris) risk and prevention.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of related aerospace or aircraft experience.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
Experience in aerospace fabrication, production, or manufacturing.
Experience in field or flight line operations.
