HOURLY PAY RATE: $28.00 - $42.00

SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform highly diversified duties requiring the use of considerable judgment to lie out, install and maintain a wide variety of complex electrical / electronic equipment such as involved automatic controls, generating equipment, etc.
  • Establish secondary distribution centers, balance loads, wire circuits having a large number of units and connections. Diagnose and remedy any electrical trouble quickly to avoid shut-downs. Coordinate with Maintenance Mechanics.
  • Design, plan, lay out, install, troubleshoot, repair, specify, test and install and make calculations for all types of power distribution systems, electromechanical control systems, lighting systems, alarm systems and make common calculations for general types of electronic control and power systems.
  • Service combustion burners, refrigeration equipment, data panels and x-ray devices; test, diagnose, troubleshoot, calibrate, specify replacement parts for, maintain, repair and install all such equipment.
  • Calibrate test equipment, production equipment controls, prescribe test equipment, testing programs and testing panels.
  • Work requires expert knowledge of National Electric Code, wiring practices of all industrial voltages, phases, amperage, conditions and applications, thorough familiarity with plant equipment, machinery and facilities and a NH Electricians License (Journeyman’s a minimum).
  • Assist and coordinate with others on projects requiring team efforts. Initiate maintenance programs and procedures. Demonstrate capability in related crafts and trades. Exhibit willingness to work overtime and in off-hour emergencies.
  • Act as Hazmat Responder.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must comply with all applicable safety requirements, policies and procedures, while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
  • Must participate in required training, medical monitoring, safety, and health evaluations and programs.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas of facility.
  • *Perform all physical functions of position; standing, stooping, bending, sitting, walking, twisting, kneeling, turning and lifting of materials up to 35 lbs.
  • Meet established attendance standards.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Must report any work-related injury or illness immediately to your direct supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • At least 3 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, charts, tables, and handbook formulas
  • Ability to work from complicated drawings, sketches, and specifications
  • Ability to apply broad knowledge of a recognized trade, craft, or technical field equivalent to a complete accredited 4-year apprenticeship.
