Position Overview
SkyBridge Aviation is seeking an experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic to support production in a fast paced, deadline driven aviation environment. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently and within a team while maintaining strong quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and modify aircraft components using engineering drawings and technical data
- Perform close tolerance drilling and structural assembly
- Fabricate and fit aircraft sheet metal parts in accordance with engineering requirements
- Remove and install fasteners and rivets
- Use aviation hand tools and sheet metal equipment properly and safely
- Complete work with minimal supervision while meeting production schedules
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of aircraft sheet metal experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with close tolerance drilling and structural work
- Familiarity with aviation tools and aircraft sheet metal fabrication methods
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail in a deadline driven setting
- Willingness to travel throughout the U.S as needed
- Valid U.S driver’s license required
- Valid U.S Passport required (or willingness to obtain upon offer acceptance)
Preferred Qualifications
- Business aviation experience is preferred, but other aviation or mechanical backgrounds will be considered
- Experience working on multiple aircraft platforms
Candidates are required to provide their own basic aircraft sheet metal tools necessary to perform the duties of this position.
