As a Turbine Engine Technician at StandardAero Augusta, you will work alongside Test Cell Technicians and Licensed Engine Mechanics performing engine overhauls on Honeywell turbofan engines and APUs.
About Us:
StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility, specialized to support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer. With a significant 80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we’re doubling our footprint at AGS. Our facility focuses on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side, while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs (36-100, 36-150), and performs diagnostics in our state-of-the-art Test Cells. What You Will Do:
- Utilize precision instruments such as micrometers, torque wrenches, and calipers to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair engines and APUs
- Navigate, research, and reference technical digital documents, OEM Light and Heavy Maintenance manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance and major inspections on Honeywell engine types and models.
- Disassembly and re-assembly of Honeywell engine types and models.
- Remove and reinstall engines on aircraft for major periodic inspections and core zone inspections.
- Perform incoming and outgoing engine runs and line maintenance, as required.
- Evaluates removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
- Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters and Airworthiness Directive.
- Participate in ongoing training initiatives on and off site through partners like CAE, FlightSafety, and Honeywell.
Position Requirements:
- Valid FAA Powerplant license.
- Prior experience maintaining, inspecting, and/or overhauling turbine engines.
- Technical training on turbine engine maintenance from an accredited school, military program, or OEM.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Characteristics:
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Licenses.
- Excellent planning, organization, communication (both oral and written), and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with aviation maintenance software and systems.
- Experience with Honeywell propulsion engines and APU products.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working on the Honeywell HTF7000 and/or TFE731 engines.
