JOB DESCRIPTION:
Survival Flight Inc. is seeking a Compliance Manager to support and oversee regulatory, operational, and internal compliance initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong Air medical experience who is ready to transition into or grow within a compliance-focused leadership role.
Previous formal compliance experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with hands-on EMS, aviation, or emergency medical operations experience and a strong aptitude for policy, auditing, and regulatory adherence will be strongly considered.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support and manage compliance activities related to federal, state, and local regulations applicable to air medical and EMS operations
• Assist with development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs, policies, and procedures
• Visit bases on a regular basis to ensure compliance of drugs, product, equipment, process etc.
• Monitor organizational adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
• Conduct internal audits, reviews, and investigations related to compliance concerns
• Track, document, and follow up on corrective action plans and compliance findings
• Serve as a resource to leadership and operational staff regarding compliance expectations and best practices
• Assist with regulatory reporting, record keeping, and documentation
• Collaborate with clinical, aviation, safety, and HR teams to ensure cross-functional compliance
• Support preparation for inspections, surveys, audits, and accreditation reviews
• Identify potential compliance risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategies
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive matters
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on organizational needs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong air medical, EMS or emergency services operational experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Batesville, AR
• Able to travel as needed with little notice
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous experience in a compliance, regulatory, quality, or audit-related role
• Familiarity with healthcare, EMS, aviation, or safety-sensitive regulatory environments
• Experience with policy writing, internal audits, or corrective action tracking
• Knowledge of federal or state healthcare and/or aviation regulatory frameworks
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to operate a computer/keyboard for 6-8 hours daily.
• Regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use
hands to fingers; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Able to drive long trips
