About the Opportunity:
Embark on a fulfilling career as the Director of Maintenance Technician (A&P) with our client, a leading technician-led MRO and charter operator specializing in turboprops and light jets. Situated at Gwinnett County Airport (LZU) in the vibrant Atlanta area, our client is dedicated to precision, craftsmanship, and accountability. This role offers an exciting chance to work alongside the Lead Mechanic, ensuring aircraft meet top technical and regulatory standards, and to play an integral part in shaping a high-integrity maintenance operation.
Responsibilities:
Execute advanced scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turboprop and light jet aircraft.
Independently troubleshoot complex airframe, powerplant, and systems issues.
Act as a second-signature reviewer as part of the double-mechanic quality assurance process.
Uphold FAA compliance and maintain detailed maintenance documentation.
Foster and uphold superior safety and quality standards across the shop floor.
Mentor and guide junior mechanics, supporting team growth.
Travel to Tulsa, OK, for paid Piaggio training and refurbishment work as needed.
Requirements:
Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
Possess a minimum of 10+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
Have current experience working in MRO on turboprop or light jet aircraft.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with King Air and/or Cessna Citation aircraft.
Strong PT6-powered aircraft experience preferred.
Piaggio experience is a plus; training will be provided to enhance platform-specific expertise.
