- Starting Salary: $115,000 - $120,000 annually

The Hangar Maintenance Manager will oversee all aircraft maintenance requirements and major repair and alterations for GMR Air operators’ aircraft. They will ensure all personnel assigned to the GMR CRS Wichita, Kansas Completion Centers perform their duties with the highest degree of competence and safety in compliance with all applicable FAA regulatory requirements, as well as with company policy and procedures. The Hangar Maintenance Manager will report directly to the GMR CRS Director or Chief Inspector.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all personnel within the GMR CRS Completion centers.
- Ensuring all GMR Air operators aircraft are modified and maintained in accordance with manufacturer standards, 14 CFR regulations, and approved processes and procedures.
- Oversee the supervision of GMR Air operators’ aircraft while in the GMR CRS Completion centers for maintenance and completion of modifications.
- Supervises the scheduled incoming GMR Air operators’ aircraft for the GMR CRS Completion centers and coordinates with GMR Air operators’ respective maintenance departments as needed.
- Assesses the incoming GMR Air operators’ aircraft with the GMR CRS Director or Chief Inspector to ensure all necessary resources are in place so that scheduled maintenance completion modifications events are accomplished in an efficient manner, and projects are returned to service as scheduled.
- Maintain accurate documentation and regularly update the company tracking system regarding all aircraft maintenance activities and discrepancies for the GMR CRS Completion Center projects.
- Ensures the spare parts and materials inventory at the GMR CRS Completion Centers are maintained at the appropriate levels, and in accordance with the policy and procedures of the Repair Station Manuals.
- Ensures the technical publications library at the GMR CRS Completion Centers are maintained as current, and that all technicians have proper access to all web-based technical data needed for the performance of their duties.
- Leadership and accountability of the hangar environment, ensuring its operating under conditions that promote efficiency, safety, and compliance with company standards and OSHA Requirements.
- Maintaining close liaison with the GMR CRS Director or Chief Inspector to provide daily and weekly status of all aircraft and projects.
- Oversee the execution of all duties assigned to subordinates.
- Performs other duties and tasks assigned by the GMR CRS Director or Chief Inspector.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
- 10 years’ relevant technical experience maintaining turboprop and turbine powered aircraft.
- 5 years experience in FAA 14 CFR Part 135/145 aircraft maintenance management or in a supporting quality control role.
- Ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex technical data and processes associated with aircraft maintenance and alterations.
- Documented Ability to manage a team of technicians, effectively building a strong team environment that fosters professional growth of the individual technician and encourages input of ideas for improvement.
- Strong knowledge of 14 CFR regulations and associated guidance material, applicable to maintenance and alterations of aircraft operated on a 14 CFR Part 135 air carrier certificate.
- Ability to take initiative, creating, implementing, and improving procedures and processes.
- Superior customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrates organizational, administrative, and computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, maintenance or technology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Valid and current FAA Inspection Authorization.
- 10 years experience in an FAA 14 CFR Part 135/145 aircraft maintenance management and/or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated capability to effectively lead and manage teams comprising five or more members.
- Significant maintenance and modification experience with Beechcraft King Air series turboprop aircraft.
