Position Overview
The Chief Pilot serves as a key leadership figure responsible for overseeing all company flight operations, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, and upholding the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. This role supervises all aviation crew members and aircraft movement and works collaboratively with teams across clinical operations, maintenance, the Operations Control Center, the Communications Center, and business operations.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Chief Pilot provides expert guidance on operational and compliance issues, oversees aircraft qualifications, and manages the pilot training and standardization programs.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution, 5–8 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions in high-pressure environments.
Minimum 2,500 flight hours.
At least three years of pilot-in-command experience within the past six years in aircraft operated under 14 CFR Part 121 or Part 135, OR three years, within the past six years, of part 121 or 135 certificate management experience.
Meets all other applicable minimum requirements outlined in 14 CFR Part 119.
Proven leadership experience with successful employee development.
FAA Second Class Medical required when performing check airman or flight instructor duties.
Commercial Pilot Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience developing, maintaining, and standardizing pilot training programs.
Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate – Airplane or Rotorcraft.
Certified Flight Instructor (CFI).
Certified Instrument Instructor (CFII) – Airplane or Rotorcraft.
