Job Opening - Helicopter Air Ambulance Pilot in Command (RW PIC)

Mercy Flights is seeking qualified candidates for full-time Bell 407Gx PICs.

Position Summary:

  • Full-time, salaried professional position
  • Starting Pay: $93,454 annually (Depending on Qualifications)
  • Relocation package may be available
  • Full benefit package including: employee medical coverage (dependent coverage options available), family dental & vision coverage, life insurance, short-term disability, 401K w/company contribution, employee assistance program (EAP) and company paid uniforms
  • Earned time off, OT pay on worked Holidays and OT for extra hours worked
  • Consistent, repeating schedule of seven (7) twelve (12) hour shifts every two weeks
  • Ability to trade shifts and overtime shifts may be available depending on circumstances

Job Requirements – Minimum Required Experience and Certificates:

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate w/Helicopter and instrument helicopter
  • Total Flight Time = 1,500 hours
  • Turbine Time = 500 hours
  • PIC = 1,000 hours
  • Meets or exceeds the 14 CFR 135.243 Pilot in Command Qualifications
  • Night Aided and/or Unaided: 100 hours
  • FAA 1st or 2nd Class Medical

Preferred Experience and Certificates:

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP)
  • Total Flight Time = 2,000 hours
  • NVG experience
  • Previous Helicopter Air Ambulance and/or Part 135 on demand experience
  • Single Pilot Time = 500 hours

Working Conditions:

  • Possess excellent, professional flying skills
  • Competence in handling complex situations without compromising safety
  • Communicates effectively with Chief Pilot, Director of Operations and crews
  • Capacity to handle periods of high workloads
  • Ability to work closely with medical personnel throughout flight
  • Rotor wing aircraft is a Bell 407Gx equipped with Garmin G1000 and two-axis autopilot
  • On-site aircraft maintenance and newer facilities
