Asymmetric Unmanned LLC. is seeking responsible and professional Part 107 UAS pilots to operate our commercial drone fleet in support of our customers within the U.S.
 
Candidates must be willing to work in small teams and travel to any location that our clients desire.
 
Asymmetric is reviewing qualified candidates for positions in Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX; and Billings, MT. Candidates must be willing to work in small teams and travel to any location that our clients desire.
 
Asymmetric’ s goal is to expand its flight crew roster with experienced UAS operators within the next 1-3 months. Candidates should apply as soon as possible for review. Full-time positions available.
UAS Operator Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary or secondary RPIC at commercial worksites.
  • Conduct UAS flights safely with attention to platform capabilities and limitations, with consistent compliance to regulatory guidance per 14 CFR Part 107, pertaining to UAS operations.
  • Develop flight plans, pre-mission planning, and coordinate airspace integration with any affected controlling agencies or privately-owned properties.
  • Interact with our clients in a professional manner and serve as the face of the company on the ground.
  • Facilitate daily pre-mission briefs and safety risk assessments, as well as after-action reviews upon post-flight.
  • Perform basic UAS and ground support equipment troubleshooting.
 
Job Requirements:
  • Possess a Remote Pilot Airman Certificate through successful completion of the FAA’s Part 107 small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) ALC-451 course.
  • Possess a minimum of 100 hours of UAS Remote Pilot in Command time (RPIC) of unmanned aircraft. Note: Preferable that resumes include time and type on specific UAVs.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the FAA regulatory framework regarding the integration of UAS into the National Airspace (NAS) as well as commercial UAS operations.
  • Experience manipulating technical payload and sensor settings, e.g. image exposure, range, signal frequencies, etc.
  • Ability to manage small teams and/or work independently with limited supervision.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Applicants must be able to pass a TSA Security Background Check and Drug Screening.
  • Must have and maintain a current and valid driver’s license; basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel up 50% to 75% of the month.
  • Be able to perform physically demanding work that involves frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting, climbing, and walking on gravel and other uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE), including hardhat, protective eyewear, boots, safety vests or harness, and other PPE as required by project.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with both multi-rotor and fixed wing small UAS; Applicants should include UAS and sensor platforms that the pilot is qualified on by time and type as part of their resume.
  • Familiarity with GIS & Mapping, CAD and Photogrammetry concepts.
  • Hands-On experience with data management tools and use of post-processing software suites such as Pix4D.
  • Experience with autonomous flight software tools.
  • RPIC experience in the collection of inspection data of commercial infrastructure such as T&D structures, solar farms, railroad infrastructure and bridges.
