Provide Engineering, Furnish, Install, Configure, and Test (EFIC&T) services for a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) software migration and Rubrik Enterprise upgrade within a Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environment. Including site surveys, program management, software upgrades, hardware upgrades (if necessary), data backups, removal of legacy software, implementation of security measures, documentation, and training. The contractor must adhere to security requirements, travel to various CONUS locations, and collaborate closely with government personnel.
DUTIES:
- Conduct comprehensive Site-surveys at AMC bases to assess existing hardware and software configurations (Pivot 3 and Rubrik)
- Support development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to track project activities, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage and oversee the complete removal of Pivot 3 software from the HCI environment, ensuring no conflicts with VMware Cloud Foundation.
- Perform data backups of all server data on Pivot3 servers to Rubrik prior to software removal, in support of the VMware Cloud Foundation Migration.
- Upgrade and configure VMware vCenter, VMware vSphere, VMware vSAN, and VMware Aria Suite to the latest approved versions.
- Implement Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for VMware Cloud Foundation.
- Install and configure VMware 2-Factor Authentication for all VMware services, integrating it into VMware software components.
- Provide over-the-shoulder training to base technicians on the new capabilities of VMware VSAN compared to Pivot 3 Acuity.
- Develop and deliver updated As-Built documentation in PDF format for each AMC base, reflecting VMware VSAN capabilities.
- Devise a solution to Rubrik Live Mount critical virtual machines to assist with the VMware Cloud Foundation migration to avoid unnecessary server downtime for base operations.
- Install Rubrik 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) Certificates on the HCI environment for NIPR and SIPR. Ensure 2FA is functioning as the main authentication mechanism.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Network Engineering
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
