Overview:
We have a rare opportunity for an Airframe & Powerplant Technician! Do you wish you could put your technical expertise to work for what we do which is what cultivates our success in the Aerospace Industry? This position is based in Burlington, VT.
Key Responsibilities:
- As the Tech Support (A&P Mechanic), you will perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and removing equipment.
- You may conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications.
- You will manage technical products, services logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers.
- The Tech Support (A&P Mechanic) may also troubleshoot technical problems and issues, recommending actions to company or customer representatives while assessing product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
- You will proudly serve as a local on-site RTX representative to the customer's organization, managing statements of work to meet customer and contract requirements.
- There is up to 20% travel for this role.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or an associate degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Airframe & Powerplant License
- US Citizenship is required due to government contracts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as an A&P Mechanic
- Shop/Bench refurbishment experience
- Experience with the inspection of engine parts refurbishment, troubleshooting, repairs, and return to service of engines, modules, and components
- P&WC-powered Airframe experience
- A degree in Aviation Maintenance Management preferred
- Prior PT6, PW300, PW500 and PW600 shop and field experience is a plus
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Heavy hangar/FBO/field experience - rigging, R&I, MRP's, aircraft interface
- Customer service skills
