Job Title: Field Service Mechanic
Job Description
Provide technical support for aircraft pilot seats, focusing on the repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and upholstery components. This role involves hands-on work with tools and interaction with customers and engineering staff to resolve issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Repair aircraft pilot seats by removing and replacing various components.
- Use hand and occasionally power tools for repairs.
- Follow computerized component maintenance manuals.
- Travel to aircraft factories as needed for installs, removals, or troubleshooting.
- Interface with customers and engineering staff via phone and email.
- Document and track work using SAP and Excel.
- Ensure parts are correctly swapped or replaced as per engineering work orders.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Strong customer service mindset and presentable demeanor.
- Proficient with computer data entry and documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- US Citizenship is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with aircraft interior component repair, particularly seating.
- Familiarity with Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).
- Demonstrated ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly.

Work Environment
The primary work location is a large facility in Kent, equipped with a loading dock, storage areas, and multiple workstations. Occasional travel to nearby aircraft factories is required. The work schedule is from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, with some flexibility. The position offers rare on-call weekend duties and training under a higher level technician.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
